Minor in piano

Music Performance & Voice | Video Session

After successful video preselection in your main subject, you will receive an invitation to the live audition. At the same time, you will be asked to submit a video for your minor subject, piano.

Requirements:
Two easy to moderately difficult pieces of different character from different stylistic periods with a difficulty level at least equivalent to, for example, Bach's “Notenbüchlein der Anna Magdalena Bach,” Schumann's “Album für die Jugend” or Bartók's “Mikrokosmos II and III.”

Video requirements:
Your face and hands must be clearly visible in the recording, which must be a single continuous take.
Total length approx. 5 minutes

      Musical Performance and Education & Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s Degree | Live audition

      For Music Performance and Education and Interdisciplinary Bachelor’s Degree the examination in piano as a minor subject takes place as part of the live audition. 

      Requirements:
      Two easy to moderately difficult pieces of different character from different stylistic periods with a degree of difficulty at least equivalent to, for example, Bach's “Notenbüchlein der Anna Magdalena Bach,” Schumann's “Album für die Jugend,” or Bartók's “Mikrokosmos II and III,” as well as sight-reading.
      Total length approx. 5 minutes

          Church Music | Live audition

          For Church Music, the examination in piano as a minor subject takes place as part of the live audition.

          Requirements:
          Performance of two works from different eras with a level of difficulty equivalent to Bach's “Two- or Three-Part Inventions,” Haydn's "Sonata in C major (Hob. XVI: 35)“ or Chopin's ”Prélude in B minor, Op. 28, No. 6“ or the ”Mazurkas, Op. 7," as well as sight-reading.
          Total length approx. 5 minutes
