Welcome to the Study Buddy Programme of HMTMH!
What is the Study Buddy Programme?
The idea of the Study Buddy Programme is to support international (ERASMUS-) students with their stay in Hannover and to enable local students to take part in a cultural exchange. The programme is a good opportunity to meet internationals, make new friends, brush up on language skills and strenghten your own intercultural competence.
What does a study buddy do?
As a study buddy you help international (ERASMUS-) students to settle in at the university and in the city. You support them with questions about studying at HMTMH and life in Hanover and, above all, you are a first point of contact.
Why should I become a study buddy?
Being a study buddy offers many advantages! You meet new people, get to know other cultures, brush up on your English or other language skills and find out about partner universities. You will also receive a certificate as proof of your voluntary work.
How do I become a study buddy?
Simply fill in the form on the homepage and send it to the international office as a pdf-document via e-mail. We will then match you up with an international (ERASMUS-) student and send you the relevant contact details and a small checklist that can help you with certain questions.
It is completely up to you and your buddy how often you are in contact and you can always ask the International Office for support
You are an international looking for a local buddy?
Just fill out the same form on this website and send it to us as a pdf-document via e-mail. We will then try to find a local buddy for you and send you their contact details as soon as we have found one.
