The sheet music reading room on the 2nd floor of the Central Library is closed on Wednesday, Jan. 21st 2026 for the whole day due to electronic works. Occasionally, there may be noise disturbance due to drilling. Sheet music can be ordered through the catalog or on site with the staff and also made available by the staff on the same day. However, researching on the shelves in the sheet music reading room is not possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Jan 28th: 9am - 11:00am and 2pm - 5pm due to the general assembly

The Library is closed from Dec. 24th 2025 till Jan. 4th 2026.

The Library is closed on weekends and public holidays.
For university staff, additional use in justified individual cases can be agreed upon by calling 0511-3100 279 or by email.

The return box is available during the opening hours of the annex buildings (Uhlemeyerstraße 21, Plathnerstraße 35 and Leisewitzstraße 39).
