State Scholarship Lower Saxony
| Provider: | State of Lower Saxony |
| Amount: | One-off 500 Euros in winter semester 2025/26. A total of 16 scholarships will be awarded. |
| Aimed at: | Matriculated students in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs who are not on leave, as well as students in the Acting diploma course during the standard period of study. Current recipients of the Deutschlandstipendium/Germany Scholarship are not eligible to apply for the State Scholarship Lower Saxony! |
| Awarding criteria: | Support is given to particularly talented young people from so-called “educationally disadvantaged backgrounds*/first-generation students” as well as students who experience “particularly difficult starting and general conditions due to flight”. Additional scholarships may be awarded on the basis of special personal circumstances (e.g. financial hardship) or outstanding voluntary work. |

| Application documents: | Completed application documents in Muvac, letter of motivation, certificate of enrolment, transcript of records (drama students do not need to upload a transcript of records; if you are in your first semester, we do not require a transcript of records, but rather a copy of your school leaving certificate, at least from Year 10). |

* defined here as "neither parent has a higher qualification than a secondary school leaving certificate"
