Information on the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and COVID-19 disease

On this page we inform you about the current situation at our university. This website is regularly updated.

Update, July 16th

The HMTMH would like to offer its students access to the university also in the months of September and October. Due to the restrictions still imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic, the focus is on students taking exams during this period. In addition, it should be possible to catch up on classes that have not yet been given.

This regulation applies to the periods 1 September to 2 October and 12 to 30 October. All rooms are reserved for the auditions during the time of the admission examinations (3 to 11 October). It is not possible to practise or to organise catch-up lessons during this period.

From 2 November onwards, teaching in the winter semester 2020/21 will begin in a hybrid format of presence classroom teaching and digitally supported teaching.

Update, July 15th

With the new version of the Lower Saxony Corona Ordinance, new regulations for inbound travellers have taken effect: Since July 13th, the obligation of a 14-day quarantine applies to persons who enter from a risk area and have stayed there for more than 48 hours. Excepted from this rule is anyone who can present a accepted medical certificate of a negative PCR test.

Update, July 1st

Between August 1st and August 31st 2020, the HMTMH is closed for practice and teaching. The access of the university premises in September will be announced in due time at the end of July. Teaching in the winter semester 2020/21 will continue to be a hybrid form and combination of presence classrom teaching and digitally supported teaching. Lectures will begin according to the current plan on November 2nd, 2020. The live auditions for the admission will take place on October 3rd (IFF) and between October 5th an 11th, 2020.
