Action Day against Abuse of Power
UNIVERSITY-WIDE INVITATION
The Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media hosted a university-wide Action Day against Abuse of Power
on Thursday, 27 November 2025
from 10 to 12 a.m. at Hörsaal 202
from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Foyer, Neues Haus 1.

The event was open to all students, teachers, and staff at HMTMH. It was part of a nationwide day of action organised by the German music universities under the German title ‘Kunst. Macht. Menschlichkeit’.
As a result of the action day, a working group was established to evaluate both the numerous ideas generated during the event and best-practice examples from other universities in order to develop further measures against the abuse of power. Concrete recommendations for action, ready for implementation, are to be presented at the start of the 2026/27 winter semester.
Another university-wide action day is also scheduled to take place in the fall of 2026.
